About this experience
This day follows the Christian heritage of the Ajloun hills. At Anjara, the Catholic shrine of Our Lady of the Mountain marks the cave where tradition says Jesus and Mary rested. At Tell Mar Elias, the mosaic floors of a large Byzantine church stand on the hill above Listib, linked with the Prophet Elijah.
In Jerash, beyond the Roman monuments, your guide shows you the cathedral, the Church of St Theodore and the mosaic floors of Saints Cosmas and Damian. Mass can be arranged at Anjara for groups.
