Feynan was one of the great copper-mining centres of the ancient world, worked from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine period. Today it is known for the award-winning Feynan Ecolodge, lit by candles and run with the local Azazmeh and Rashaydeh Bedouin.
Guests join shepherds, bake bread, learn to make Bedouin coffee and watch the stars from the roof.
