About this experience
One day in Petra is a taste; two days let you understand it. On day one a licensed guide takes you through the main valley and up to the High Place of Sacrifice, and in the evening you return for Petra by Night (Sunday–Thursday).
Day two begins at Little Petra with the back trail over the mountains to the Monastery, and you finish at the viewpoint above the Treasury before driving back to Amman or on to Wadi Rum.

Day 1
Amman – Petra
Arrive by 9:00, guided tour of the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades and the High Place of Sacrifice. Petra by Night in the evening. Overnight Wadi Musa.

Day 2
Little Petra – Monastery – return
Little Petra and the back trail (2.5 h) to the Monastery, down through the city, viewpoint above the Treasury. Drive back to Amman or continue to Wadi Rum or Aqaba.
Times are a guide – on a private tour you can change the pace and the order.

- If your Petra night falls on a Friday or Saturday, Petra by Night is replaced by a Bedouin dinner.
